Character Basics Character Name Larkspur Series/Canon OC AU/PG None Cottage Glass House Canon Details Lark is a D&D adventurer paladin travelling all around Exandria with her party, doing normal adventuring things that have nothing to do with running from herself and her past or secretly taking part in a plot devised by a grand power to whom she owes a great debt. She is not from any existing game or campaign (just the imaginary party in my heart). (Turns out she's actually a doppelganger-slash-changeling in service to Asmodeus, and is trying very hard to get out of a contract she never wanted in the first place . . .) Character Details Age 38 Pronouns She/they Physical Stature Slim, about 5'10" Hair/Eyes Long white hair, white eyes with no irises or pupils Notable Traits Appearance. Lark is genderfluid and a shapeshifter, though she hasn't fully regained her shapeshifting abilities. She will typically look like some version of "herself," with minor variations depending on the day (e.g. sometimes there are tits and sometimes there aren't). Has a full-chest tattoo-slash-brand of Asmodeus's sigil in a deep red. Recently, also has a long gray tail with a white fluff tip, like a tiefling. Up close, you can see that her skin also has a very, very fine layer of fur. Has pointy talon-like claws instead of fingernails and toenails. Often has potion bottles or bundles of herbs fastened to her belts. Her voice is a low alto and slightly husky. 15 Second Summary Lark is a charismatic and charming party healer, a paladin who has taken the Oath of Redemption: those who believe anybody can be redeemed for their past sins, and who champion healing, patience, wisdom, and non-violent solutions. She still obviously knows how to use her quarterstaff to exact some corrective action should pacifism fail. Much of the grumpiness, exhaustion, and evasiveness she brought with her in early Tributary has faded away, replaced with an almost manic sense of constant energy. She can be a bit bossy, blunt, and sharp-tongued, prone to losing her temper, and is very emotional. Still, she is incredibly charismatic and sociable and clearly cares about doing her best by others, quick to lend a hand and offer reassurance and kindness. She has a sort of feralness to her that she's no longer trying to suppress, and seems to enjoy being playful, though she's got a dark and serious streak that comes out when necessary. Her efforts to find what's authentically "her" real identity sometimes involve some fumbling in a raw sort of way, but she's also quick to apologize when she's done wrong. Abilities & Permissions Abilities As a paladin, Lark has access to both physical fighting prowess as well as a variety of magic spells. She mainly acts a support caster, able to heal, buff, and revive. She's clearly a physical person, quick on her feet and surprisingly very strong despite her lightweight appearance. Lately she's leaned more into physical brawling, with access to her natural weapons (teeth, claws, and super strength), though she also can use a quarterstaff-shield combo, and Eldritch Blast. She's also naturally charismatic (+9 Persuasion), carries herself with great confidence (+9 Intimidation), and is relatively perceptive. She does not much like "thinking" or "planning" because the brain is where the bad things happen, but she has learned a bit more patience and knows who to go to when more thoughtfulness or education is required. She also has experience and interest as a potions maker and herbalist, and is trying to recover more of this, as it seems peaceful and useful to have around here.
